The Alamo Federal Executive Board (AFEB) is the collaboration hub for 86 Federal Agencies in the greater San Antonio area. We continue to form partnerships to accomplish 3 lines of business:
- Emergency Preparedness, Employee Safety and Security
- Human Capital Readiness
- Intergovernmental and Community Activities
The goal of the AFEB is to bring value to the community through collaboration and partnerships. In FY11, these partnerships allowed sharing of resources and best practices that created efficiencies that not only saved manhours and money, but AFEB was able to participate and host many training and charitable events across San Antonio. Thanks to our leadership and support of our Councils and Committees, we not only successfully met each mandate set forth in the FEB National Strategic Plan, but exceeded them. The AFEB is proud to report a cost avoidance savings of $3M, an increase of $1.3M from last year.
